This project is a house to Yolanda Machado, who is a professional dancer. This house has to contain a room from their class separated from their housing. I make an interview to Miss Yolanda Machado, and she told me that she wants spaces very illuminated, wide, and separated their house to their spaces to work.
Based on the interview I design the house with two accesses, one to the private spaces and other to the public spaces. When I talk about the public spaces I am refer to the room where she gives the class of dance, in this space it’s include a back court with access and a bathroom to woman and man. Other important characteristic about this public spaces it is that the room has two access, one from the back court and the principality, the room has a rod to the dancers, their height is from 6 meters and one of the walls are made from glass which can be moved; this fact permit the access from light and ventilation.
On the other hand, this public spaces has a room from where you can see the class, this room be composed of seat to people can rest and relax while see the class, besides this spaces contain a room with seat to wait the beginning from the class.
On the private spaces exist a floor to a particular room dance from Yolanda Machado; this room is made from glass to permit the illumination. The next floor it is dedicate to the living room, which is the 6 meters from height, includes a kitchen with dinner room, the service –bathroom from visit, deposit and laundry- and a small terrace. And the last, but not less important is the floor more private; this floor has a bedroom with bathroom, a study and a small balcony.
On the design from this house one of the most important aspects was the light and ventilation, because the house is located between other houses very close. To accomplish this fact I made the house principality from glass, those glass can be moved to the pass from air. And other aspect very important is the fact that I locate the circulation in one place to create an organization in the building. This circulation has a big wall made from wood, to give a natural aspect at the house. But those not are the only material that I use in the construction, the walls are made from concrete and the structure from the building too.
